It was pretty nice， not nearly as nice as Journal 3 which came out a couple years after this did。 Still very enjoyable story telling。 But it is just a kids book， doesnt have that much of a story of its own。

I wish I could have read this book when I was younger。 I related heavily to Mabel in a cringey way with her page dedicated to a sleepover schedule。 I totally made schedules for sleepovers。 😂

Out of all the other Gravity Falls books this is my least favorite。 I know GF is for kids to begin with but if you've watched it or read the other books， it's clear that there are heavy mature elements/humor to the series at large。 This one I basically just powered through it。 I was expecting more story to it， and that's probably my fault。 It's labeled as a guidebook "written by" Mabel and Dipper。 That's exactly what it is。 Not really any new info， or anything captivating for me as an adult， so Out of all the other Gravity Falls books this is my least favorite。 I know GF is for kids to begin with but if you've watched it or read the other books， it's clear that there are heavy mature elements/humor to the series at large。 This one I basically just powered through it。 I was expecting more story to it， and that's probably my fault。 It's labeled as a guidebook "written by" Mabel and Dipper。 That's exactly what it is。 Not really any new info， or anything captivating for me as an adult， so it just wasn't my cup of tea compared to reading Joural 3 or the Lost Tales。 However， for kids that are fans of Gravity Falls， it would be great！ I recommend it for kids， it's extra goofy and doesn't really have the "mature" elements like the other GF content out there， it's got silly lists， tid bits from the twins， and neat little activities for kiddos to do; stuff you might find in a typical kids activity book: mazes， quizzes， drawing activities， etc。If GF existed when I was between 6-11 I would've loved it！！ 。。。more

I'll be honest， when I woke up this morning I fully expected to spend my day finishing Patrick Radden Keefe's "Say Nothing"， in order to have read a grand total of eight （8） books this month。 But when I logged onto Tumblr this morning and remembered that it was everyone's favorite fictional twins' birthday today， I changed my plans to read the three Gravity Falls books that I could find！This book was the second one that I read today， and gosh it was a trip down memory lane。 I joined the fandom i I'll be honest， when I woke up this morning I fully expected to spend my day finishing Patrick Radden Keefe's "Say Nothing"， in order to have read a grand total of eight （8） books this month。 But when I logged onto Tumblr this morning and remembered that it was everyone's favorite fictional twins' birthday today， I changed my plans to read the three Gravity Falls books that I could find！This book was the second one that I read today， and gosh it was a trip down memory lane。 I joined the fandom in 2014， just before the second season started airing， so I was fully invested in the show when this one came out。 I remember buying it at Barnes and Noble one rainy November Friday night and sitting up in my room for hours laughing at the jokes， talking about it with my online fandom friends， and cracking the codes hidden throughout。 While this book doesn't take into account some of the more shocking events of the series （it seems to be set right after the episode about the Blind Eye Society）， it's still a fun read。 In all， it represents the most lighthearted aspects of the show， and thus I'd recommend it for younger readers or those who want to go back and relive their fandom glory days of cracking codes and speculating about the true mysteries in that small Oregon town。 。。。more

It was a nice book with cool quizzes and information written by the characters but it didn’t add to anything that the show created。 It was basically a book recap of the first season。 Having said that I still enjoyed it immensely
